Selecting 24 Frame My Future Scholarship Finalists

Posted in [Diploma, Graduation & Job Search Topics] By BloggerBob
The "Frame My Future" Scholarship entries were laid out in the conference room on the big table in the middle of the room and on the long credenza against the wall as if part of a tasty buffet with all the trimmings.  It was a true feast for the eyes.  Employees of Church Hill Classics voted throughout the day last Thursday and Friday to determine the 24 finalists that would be up for public voting between April 15 and May 15.   Now it will be the public's turn.

Entries were diverse, creative, complex and enlightening.  There were photographs, essays, poems, illustrations, collages, cartoons, computer-enhanced images and paintings, among other creations.  The quality of the entries were amazing, and so the voting took a great deal of consideration and thought.  We had received entries from every state in the U.S. from students who will be attending college in the 2009-2010 school year.

In all, there were 54 entries out of over 3,300 that were being considered for the final 24.  So, you'll see entries from students from Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Georgia, Wisconsin, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Washington, Texas, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, and a military address.

These final 24 entries are now posted on Church Hill Classics' diplomaframe.com website for the concluding phase of our Scholarship contest.  We are excitedly awaiting the public to determine the winners by popular vote

You can view all 24 "Frame My Future" finalist entries and vote for your favorite on the CHC website, http://www.diplomaframe.com, through May 15. The top five winners by popular vote will be announced the week of May 18th.

The schools the finalists are either presently going to now or planning to be going to in the fall are as varied as the entrants themselves.  The colleges/universities include:  Cornell University, Saint Norbert College, Rhode Island School of Design, Southern Polytechnic State University, CUNY @ York College, Purdue University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Oswego, Brigham Young University Idaho, and Northwood University.

Lucie Voves, owner of Church Hill Classics states, “These amazing young people are an inspiration.  By creating visions for themselves, they are laying a thoughtful path for their own success and future contributions to our society.  In a time when much of what you read and hear is discouraging, my hope is that you too will be inspired by the remarkable entries.”
