Check out the first part of College Colors Day: It’s Time to Pledge Your Allegiance to Your Favorite College/University
Colleges and universities enjoy College Colors Day not only because college football season is beginning, but also because it gathers all their loyal fans together with some genuine school spirit. Some universities are already counting down to August 31.
- Pennsylvania State University wants their fans to wear blue and white to support the Nittany Lions. Penn State is having a Football Eve celebration along with a pep rally on August 31.
- West Virginia University football season starts on September 1 playing against Marshall University. West Virginia University wants their Mountaineer’s fans to wear blue and gold to represent their favorite college team.
- Auburn University Tigers wants their fans support this year. They want the Tigers fans to wear orange and blue to represent Auburn.
- University of Delaware is starting a day early by wearing blue and gold to celebrate Delaware Colors Day. The Blue Hens football team starts its season on August 30 again West Chester University.
Fans can also represent their favorite college or university by participating in a 5k race. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is hosting a College Colors Day 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, August 25, in White River State Park Canal in Indianapolis, IN. The start and finish is at NCAA Hall of Champions. Make sure you were you favorite college/university gear!
There are also many companies that are supporting College Colors Day.
Here at Church Hill Classics, we are going to wear our favorite college/university sports gear on Friday, August 31.
A licensed sports merchandise company started by two brothers in 1995, Fanatics. Inc. is celebrating College Colors Day with a contest. Fanatics’ customers can enter to win the grand prize giveaway that includes a 55″ 3D Smart HDTV, Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle with NCAA Football 13 and Fanatics.com gift certificates. There are three winners announced on each Friday during the contest period. Check out Fanatics on Facebook, Twitter and their Pinterest page.
Another company that is incorporating their customers into College Colors Day is Eastbay. Eastbay was created in 1980 when two high school coaches and friends tried to find shoes for their student athletics that were professional-quality. They created a catalog, and by 1988 they hired phone operators to process all of the orders they were receiving. The Eastbay customers can enter to win a $100 Eastbay gift card. There will be 10 winners in this contest. You can also check them out on Facebook and Twitter.
College Colors Day not only brings together loyal fans, but they bring companies and their customers together.
