Public Voting Chooses Five Proud Moment Winners in Church Hill Classics’ Contest
Monroe, CT – September 24, 2014 – Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer in the college diploma frame
industry, announces five Winners in its nationwide summer contest, Frame My Proudest Moment Contest 2014
. The public selected the five Winners during an online voting period. CHC is awarding $500 to the five Winners.
To enter the Frame My Proudest Moment Contest, entrants were asked to submit a photo from July 30 to September 3, 2014 of a proud moment that showcased the emotion behind the event or achievement. At the end of the contest entry period, CHC’s expert judges reviewed the 2,000 entries and evaluated each based on the contest’s criteria and selected 12 entries that portrayed proud lifetime moments that illustrated the emotion behind those events.
The 12 Finalists
competed in an online public voting from September 9 – 17, 2014 reaching out to their friends, family, coworkers, and others to earn votes for their entries. The Finalists’ photos showed these special lifetime moments: athletic victory, charity work, graduation, military accomplishment, missionary trip, music career success, personal conquest, special family moment, and wedding.
After the voting period, the five Winners were determined based on the number of votes the entries received. The award of $500 was divided among the five Winners:
- Grand Prize Winner - $250
- Second Place - $100
- Third Place- $75
- Fourth Place - $50
- Fifth Place - $25

Grand Prize Winner – Holly Gaudet from Nashua, NH
Holly’s entry received the most votes in the contest naming her the Grand Prize Winner
. Holly submitted a self-portrait reaching the top of a 3,000 foot mountain with the assistance from her new knee brace. In December 2013, she tore her anterior cruciate ligament, ACL, playing basketball. After the surgery, it took her eight months to recover. For Holly, reaching the top of the mountain was a personal and athletic triumph. The victory was one of the best feelings in her life and the start of bigger and better achievements.
Second Place Winner - Hannah King from Leesburg, GA
Hannah’s photo became the Second Place Winner
. She submitted a photo of her soccer team receiving the state championship trophy. For 6 years, her team had one goal – win the state championship. Her team’s reputation was declining due to unsuccessful seasons. This photo will always portray a proud moment for Hannah because of the team’s success and the opportunity to revive the team’s reputation.
Third Place Winner - Cheyenne Riley from St. Petersburg, FL
Cheyenne was chosen as the Third Place Winner
. She submitted a photo of her boyfriend and her after they shaved their heads to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation last year. Cheyenne and her teammate raised over $3,500 for children’s cancer research. The day of the event, Cheyenne wanted to raise additional money for this great cause, so she decided to donate 18 inches of her hair. Shaving her head was an unforgettable moment because she never felt more beautiful, liberated, and proud.
Fourth Place Winner - Joseph Lambert from Alameda, CA
Joseph, the Fourth Place Winner
, submitted a photo of him hugging his fiancé the day he graduated boot camp from the United States Coast Guard Basic Training. This photo was a proud moment for him because boot camp was one of the hardest things he ever accomplished and this was the first time in months that he saw his fiancé.
Fifth Place Winner – Lisa Colberg from Monroe, CT
Lisa was named the Fifth Place Winner
. She submitted a photo of her son, Matty, receiving his first t-ball trophy. In this photo, Matty’s face is lit up with joy and pride. Throughout his first t-ball season, Lisa got to watch how enthusiastic he was about the sport. This photo was a proud moment for Matty and Lisa.
