Church Hill Classics Reveals the 12 Proud Moment Finalists

Vote for your Favorite Finalist in the Frame Your Proudest Moment Contest 

Monroe, CT – September 9, 2014 – Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer in the college diploma frame industry, announces the twelve Finalists in its nationwide Frame My Proudest Moment Contest 2014. This creative contest allowed entrants to submit a photo of their proudest moment.

Entrants had to submit a photo and written description that showcases a special achievement or event in their lives that makes them proud. The entry period was from July 30th to September 3, 2014, and during that time there were 2,000 entries submitted. The photos had many different themes: wedding day, birth of child, graduation, military achievement, athletic accomplishment, career success, special family moment, personal victory, and academic triumph. CHC expert judges narrowed the entries to 12 based on the contest's rules and theme criteria.

CHC will award a total of $500 to 5 winners: Grand Prize - $250; Second Place - $100; Third Place - $75; Fourth Place - $50; and Fifth Place - $25. The 5 Winners will be determined by an online public voting starting today, September 9th, and ending on September 17, 2014 at 11: 59pm EST.

12 Finalists

Lisa Colberg from Monroe, CT submitted a photo of her son, Matty, winning his first t-ball trophy. This was a proud moment because he loved every day of his first season. Not only was this a proud moment for her son, but it was also for Lisa. She got to witness her son's enthusiasm about the sport and his achievement.



Holly Gaudet from Nashua, NH submitted a self-portrait photo reaching the top of a 3,000 foot mountain with help from her new knee brace. In December of 2013, Holly had to have surgery for a torn ACL. It took her 8 months to heal, and this hike was her first athletic triumph after her recovery. Reaching the top of the mountain was an amazing feeling for her and the foundation of better accomplishments in the future.



Ariana Gonzalez from Palmdale, CA submitted a photo of herself with her best friend at Ariana's graduation. She took the photo on May 30, 2014 which was a turning point in her life. She was reunited with her life-long friend who was in the United States Navy for three years but was able to attend her graduation. She holds this moment dear because it was perfect.



Madison Guist from Farmington, AR submitted a photo of the moment when she received her acceptance letter to Occupational Therapy school. She applied for three consecutive years and was finally accepted. She did not give up or pursue a different career. Now, she'll be able to pursue her dream career!



Simran Jadavji from Johns Creek, GA submitted a photo that was taken Summer 2014 in Kenya. She had the opportunity to teach for a month at a school and orphanage and this experience was memorable. She created bonds and learned from her students. Simran also knows that each one of the children has a hopeful future ahead.



Hannah King from Leesburg, GA submitted a photo of her team holding up the state championship trophy this past spring's soccer season. For 6 years, her team's goal was to win the trophy, but the team was unsuccessful. Her school's soccer team reputation was diminished, but her team wanted to prove everyone wrong… and they did! Hannah holds this moment close to her heart because it was one she will never forget.



Joseph Lambert from Alameda, CA submitted a photo of the day he graduated Boot Camp from the United States Coast Guard Basic Training. This was a hard-earned accomplishment. In the photo, he is hugging his fiancé after being away for months. Joseph was proud to graduate, but he was really overjoyed to see his fiancé.



Leah Patterson from Corpus Christi, TX submitted a photo when she received her associate degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was the first one in her family to earn a degree. Her children wanted her to walk at her graduation even thought she was reluctant to. Seeing her children smile made it worth walking at graduation. This was Leah's proud moment because her accomplishment brought joy and happiness to her children.



Cheyenne Riley from St. Petersburg, FL submitted a photo of her and her boyfriend. They shaved their heads to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Cheyenne and her teammate raised over $3,500 for children's cancer research as well as donated 18 inches of her hair. Shaving her head was a moment she would never forget because she felt liberated, beautiful, and proud.



Ryan Spitzel from Tustin, CA submitted a photo of his band playing at The House of Blues, Anaheim. The event was the first time his band, The Cage, got to play together as a group. This was the start to their music career's success which is why this moment is among the band's memorable musical accomplishments.



Danny Stephens from Park City, UT submitted a photo of his wife and him on their wedding day. This picture is when his biggest hope was realized. He married his life-long best friend at 24 years old, and they now live happily in the mountains.



Sage Zaugg from Richland, WA submitted a photo from 2001 when he welcomed his little brother, Aidan, into the world. Sage's brother taught him how to love, care, and be a great big brother. Aidan passed away in 2008 from brain cancer, but this earlier photo is a memory of Sage's eternal love for Aidan.
