Monroe, CT – August 26, 2015 – Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer in the college diploma frame industry, announces five Winners in its 2015 Frame My Proudest Moment Contest.
CHC asked entrants to submit a photo of their proudest moment along with an accompanying description from May 21 to August 5, 2015. A panel of CHC judges reviewed over 2,800 entries and narrowed them to 12 Finalists based on the contest’s criteria. Then, online voting occurred from August 12 to August 19, 2015 to determine the five Winners.
Each Winner will receive a cash prize from the total prize pool of $500.

Grand Prize Winner
Ellie Schwetz from Carol Stream, IL
“On April 17th, 2015, I shaved my head for St. Baldrick’s...” The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a childhood cancer charity that funds research to find cures for kids with cancer. Cancer hits home for Ellie as she has lost two family members to the disease. She highly values the connection she formed with her aunt after the event, and it became her Proudest Moment.
Second Place Winner
Philip Caruso from Cambridge, MA
Philip’s deployment to Afghanistan in 2011 put him to the test. Everything he trained and prepared for was pushed to the limit. He received awards for his actions while deployed, but that isn’t what made him proudest. His proudest moment was learning more about himself during his deployment.
Third Place Winner
Shasparay Lighteard from Round Rock, TX
“I am a poet, performer and as of recently, a published author.” She used poetry as a way to cope with life’s troubles. Everyone had lost faith in her. They did not think she would succeed at anything and let the past take control of her life. She turned those experiences around, and at the age of 16 became a published author.
Fourth Place Winner
Derrick Cabico from Menifee, CA
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Super Dad! Derrick graduated high school knowing that he will be ready to face the world on his own. This is thanks to his dad. His dad doesn’t have any super powers, but to Derrick, he will always be his hero.
Fifth Place Winner
Christina Ryan from Friend, NE
“The man next to me is my father who has been fighting Multiple Myeloma cancer for 14 years with no cancer-free periods.” She wanted to do something “in honor” of him. So, she designed a shirt for him. The front reads, “Knock Out Myeloma,” and the back reads, “Never Tell Me The Odds John Ryan Fighting Since 2001.” Her shirt design was a huge success selling over 150 shirts. Christina made her father’s day.
