"I received my diploma frame and it is perfect! Your craftsmanship is incredible and your customer service has been exemplary! I look forward to my next frame purchase."
- Chris, Bourbon, IN

What does “image size” or “printed area” mean?
“Image size” is the size of the printed area of your document. You must measure from the top of the highest lettering to the bottom of the lowest image (usually the seal or signature) and the same applies to the lettering from left to right. This ensures a perfect fit for your document.

And what is the difference between image size and paper size?
“Paper size” is the actual, physical size of your document, while “image size” refers to the measurement of the actual text and/or seal from left to right and top to bottom of the document.

How do I measure my document before ordering a diploma frame?
When ordering on Create-A-Frame, we need to make certain that your diploma fits perfectly with your new diploma frame.  You will be prompted to fill out the exact paper size (see above), where you take a ruler or tape measure and measure the exact height and width of your diploma from edge to edge.  You will then need to fill in the exact printed area (see above).  This refers to the measurement of the actual text and/or seal from left to right and top to bottom of the document. Please be sure to use decimals and not fractions or your order can not be processed.

I am trying to frame a document but the exact size is not available. What do you suggest?
We will custom size your frame specifically for your document measurements, so you don't have to worry about the frame not fitting properly. Please just pick the "document size" from the drop down menu and this sets the pricing.  At the last step in the order process, the system will ask you for the EXACT paper size and EXACT printed area size. We use those dimensions to custom-design your frame so it is a perfect fit.

Do you have the frame I would like to order in stock?
Every frame is custom crafted for each order, so we do not have a stock of pre-made frames.  We take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our frames and create each with a specific individual in mind.

What materials do you use for your moulding?
Our frames are crafted in solid wood with a variety of distinctive furniture finishes.  We take pride in producing a very high quality product and, as such, are very selective about the quality of our frame mouldings.

Do you carry tassels, sashes or pennants?
The Pennant Edition Diploma Frame does include your school's pennant inside of the frame. Since your school typically provides you with a tassel or a sash appropriate to your degree type at your graduation, we do not include a tassel or sash with your frame.

Can I change the moulding on a frame?
If you are ordering from our Create-A-Frame collection, you may choose any moulding. If you are ordering for a particular school, it would depend on the school's policy for special orders.  Please feel free to email us at info@diplomaframe.com with any special requests.

Can I change the mat colors on this frame?
If you are ordering from our Create-A-Frame collection, you may choose any mat color or mat color combination. If you are ordering for a particular school, it would depend on the school's policy for special orders.  Please feel free to email us with any special requests.

If I use Create-A-Frame, can you emboss the name of my school on the matting?
In some cases, we cannot offer embossing of the school name due to licensing requirements. You can still design your frame with matting in your school colors and we do offer special insignias like military seals or legal scales. To design a frame like this, go to CREATE-A-FRAME under the FRAME SELECTION button.

Which one is most preferable, 1 mat or 2 mats? Which one protects the document better?
There is no difference between 1 and 2 mats in terms of protecting the document. It is merely a matter of personal preference. Most people choose a dark outer mat (black or navy) and may want an inner mat that is in the school color (red, for example) or gold is a very nice inner accent mat color that is very versatile.

Do you offer leather mats for your frames?
At this time Church Hill Classics does not offer leather mats for framing diplomas.  This type of mat is used for decorative purposes only, and does not meet the conservation standards that we adhere to.  The leather mats that are currently available are not acid-free, and can bleed, causing irreparable damage and discoloring to your documents.  Church Hill Classics only offers museum-quality matting options to protect and preserve your important achievements.
