The frame I bought was a Christmas gift for my son who recently earned a Master's degree. He just took a position as a High School Principal and now has an office in which to hang his diplomas. I was very pleased with the quality of the frame.

It’s best to make party plans ahead since there’s lots to consider.

Ryan, a marketing intern at Church Hill Classics, is graduating from Ridgefield High School in Connecticut, and plans to attend Virginia Tech in fall 2012.  He and his parents are already getting prepared for his upcoming graduation party in June.  His preparations follow…

Women’s History Month- Why We are Thankful

Women's History MonthWritten by: Gabriella Ranieri, 2011-2012 Church Hill Classics Marketing Intern

For so long, women were forced to play a part; a part that stripped them from the right to be an individual and to essentially think for themselves. The mere idea of a woman wanting to learn more than what was expected of her was something very threatening to the male gender. The only question that can arise from this archaic mentality is why? Perhaps it’s because men sensed that women are just as capable of making a change, if not more so, than the average man and the thought of sharing the spotlight with those of an “inferior” nature was utterly unthinkable.

Decorating for Christmas in Miniature!

Dollhouse collectors have everything or nearly everything that real houses could have – comfy stuffed sofas and dignified wing chairs, framed paintings, oriental rugs, electricity, and patterned wallpaper.  With Christmas coming, decorating for the holidays is also something that dollhouse owners do for their dollhouses – but it’s all in miniature, of course! According to Susie Vallon of Whimsies Dollhouse Shop in Greenwich, CT, “Miniaturists do indeed love to decorate their do ...

Honoring Service on Veteran's Day - Bookstore Manager as Reservist in Iraq

Just about a year ago, Troy Novak, Manager, of the Dakota Textbook Company at the University of North Dakota, was not available at the store. He was overseas in Iraq until March, where he was stationed as a reservist with the Air Force.  When I had the occasion to talk to Troy after his return, I asked him if he would write about his experience for a Veteran's Day blog.

Rally to Restore Sanity - I was There!

by Christopher Morse, a senior at Western Connecticut State University and currently a marketing intern here at Church Hill Classics. What happens when a large number of people come together in a crowd? Usually people start to get anxious, angry, and even aggressive. I have been to concerts that have had a few thousand or even a few hundred people lumped together in a small space. I have witnessed firsthand how someon ...

Father's Day

From childhood all the way through middle school, high school, and college, and beyond, our dads have been there for us and have done so much for us. Dads offer us support in many different ways; they offer mental support, physical support (like moving heavy things for us, or helping us up when we fall down), or even financial support.
