The only bad thing was choosing which style frame!!! I was incredibly impressed with the frame--the quality and styles to choose from. I was floored at how fast it arrived and that it came with acid free tape and all the tools and directions to hang it on the wall. This is the first of my four girls to graduate college and if I'm not totally broke, I will be coming back.

Going Green Efforts

Going "green" is the way to go ... and it's a blossoming trend here at Church Hill Classics.  With the environment's fast decline today, it's essential that everyone does their part to help towards global sustainability. Even the smallest attempts to recycle or conserve resources create a big impact, when you multiply those efforts times many people.  Here are some of the practices that we have developed into our everyday work environment, to ensure we are continually doing our part: ...

Proudest Moment Photo Contest

Graduation is around the corner, and proud moments are always in the making.  Now is the perfect opportunity to capture instances like these, and possibly win some cash and other prizes for sharing them with us!  We're interested in what your special memories are, and what they entail.  While graduation is likely to be a popular theme since that season has arrived, all memories are welcome: weddings, recognition events, a new addition to the family, honor ceremonies, other mileston ...

The College Student's Job Hunt

Finding a job is probably uppermost in your mind (and your parents') especially if you're about to become a college graduate.  Graduation time is nearing, and if you're not going on to grad school, a full time job is usually the next step. Ideally, the time to look for a job is before graduation, not afterwards.  Checking in at your college's career center is one of the first places college students can go for guidance.  This could be done even when just a freshman.  Yet, there are ma ...

Presidential Memorial Certificates for Veterans

Did you know that the Department of Veterans Affairs offers a thoughtful Presidential Memorial Certificate program to memorialize your beloved deceased veteran?  The certificate is an elegant presentation, personalized in calligraphy lettering with the name of the veteran.  It includes a gold foil embossed seal of the Great Seal of the United States, and is signed by the President.   This program was initiated by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, and has been continued by all subsequent ...

Damaged Diploma - What To Do?

Just the other day, we got another call from a customer who said his diploma has turned yellowish and has brown spots on it.  This question arises occasionally, so here is a bit more about why it happens and what you can do about it.  Typically, problems like yellowing and brown spots are caused by age and acidity.  Sometimes, especially with older diplomas, the paper used to print the document may not have been acid-free.  So over time, the acidic content creates yellowing and brittlen ...

Leather Mats Are A Poor Choice For Your Diploma

When deciding how to frame your diploma, most people think about where they plan to hang the frame and the surrounding decor.  Since this is commonly an office, dark mat colors such as black, navy, green and maroon are the most popular choices, as are darker wood tones including mahogany, cherry, and deep walnut tones.  Since leather is a common office furniture element, we have received requests for leather-look matting to coordinate.  Unfortunately, no manufacturer has been successful in ...

The Value of "Doing Right" in Business

Excellent ethics are less about "formal" policies and procedures and more about a company's overriding commitment to "do the right thing."  A company creates the framework to foster ethical behavior, but ultimately it is the people of the company who put ethics into practice every day.  Think about it, what are the parts of your job - or your human interactions for that matter - to which fairness, honestly, respect, and "doing right" do not apply?  There are none!  Everything we do as in ...
