[Pinned] Decorating Graduation Caps

decorating graduation capsWhen my son graduated from Newtown High School in Connecticut, lo and behold, there were quite a few seniors who had decorated their graduation caps! This extra festive atmosphere made me wonder, "Hmm...What's this all about?" The caps looked creative and fun, - some with flowers, some with furry-looking trim, others with colored duct tape messages or the year of graduation. After seeing the procession of all the seniors, I saw the point to this tide of originality.

Women’s History Month- Why We are Thankful

Women's History MonthWritten by: Gabriella Ranieri, 2011-2012 Church Hill Classics Marketing Intern

For so long, women were forced to play a part; a part that stripped them from the right to be an individual and to essentially think for themselves. The mere idea of a woman wanting to learn more than what was expected of her was something very threatening to the male gender. The only question that can arise from this archaic mentality is why? Perhaps it’s because men sensed that women are just as capable of making a change, if not more so, than the average man and the thought of sharing the spotlight with those of an “inferior” nature was utterly unthinkable.

What colors are you wearing September 2?  I only ask because September 2 is College Colors Day!  When I was first told that the employees of Church Hill Classics would be participating in “College Colors Day,” I immediately wanted to find out what this day is all about. Tornadoes and Tuscaloosa

A Connection with Sigma Alpha Epsilon! The stormy weather which brought a barrage of tornadoes that struck the south in April, hit a chord with me because of the fraternity SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON which was started 155 years ago in TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA. Of all those locations in which tornadoes touched down in the south, Tuscaloosa was one of the most heavily hit. My connection was a blog I posted earlier this week about a son and father - Mark  and his dad John – who had each joined this very frat ...
