Sports Photo Scholarship Contest 2012 is in High Gear

U.S. Diploma Frame Company Recognizing Student Athletes

Monroe, CT – June 1, 2012 — A nation-wide Sports Photo Scholarship Contest has been initiated by Connecticut-based Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer and online retailer in the college diploma frame industry, and now expanding into high school/college athletic awards with its varsityletterframes.com division. The scholarship contest is open to all high school and college varsity athletes planning to attend college full-time for the 2012-2013 academic year.

A submission of an original celebratory sports photo is needed for the chance to win a $500 college scholarship.  The photo should be an image demonstrating the “true celebration of a sport.”

The online contest runs from May 22, 2012, through July 9, 2012.  The photo submission can either be from the athlete who was photographed or from the person taking the photo. Only non-professional photos can be entered in the contest, with written permission from all people shown in the image.

Photos could show an athlete scoring the big goal, hitting the game winner, or sealing the victory for the team.  Church Hill Classics will select 12 entries from the submissions to be named Finalists, and judging will be based on the spirit and emotion of the celebration in the photo.

As with CHC’s “Frame My Future” Scholarship contest, commencing its fifth year in the fall, Finalists will proceed to a public online vote which will take place from July 17 - July 27, 2012.  The Finalist with the most votes will be the winner of the Sports Photo Scholarship Contest and win a $500 scholarship as well as a handcrafted, USA-made Varsity Letter Frame from Church Hill Classics.  The eleven other Finalists will also win custom, USA-made Varsity Letter Frames.  The rules of the contest are available on the Sports Photo Contest 2012 Official Rules page of the Church Hill Classics’ website.
