I was looking for a company that provided my college's name and seal on the matting or the frame. Your company was the first that I came across on the web. I liked the variety I could choose from: with tassel, pennant, campus picture, or just the diploma. I received excellent product, excellent service and excellent quality.

Church Hill Classics Participating in 2nd Annual National Student Day on October 4

Monroe, CT – September 24, 2012 – “The goal of National Student Day is to celebrate social responsibility by college students across North America,” says the organization’s website, about its 2nd annual event on Thursday, October 4. “College stores want to recognize students’ good deeds.”

Bookstores from all sections of the United States and Canada are participating in National Student Day, as are vendors such as diploma frame manufacturer Church Hill Classics (CHC).

To show support of National Student Day, Church Hill Classics is offering free shipping to customers when they order from diplomaframe.com for one day only on October 4!  CHC is a leading U.S. manufacturer and online retailer in the college diploma frame industry, and works with high school and college athletics.

Customers just need to use code NACS2012 in the SPC field in the shopping cart to receive free domestic ground shipping on all orders.

An array of big and small happenings will be held by bookstores to recognize students who volunteer and to connect with the community.  Students need to share their written stories about volunteering online; to reveal their part as a Big Brother or Sister, helping at a homeless shelter, collecting canned goods, cleaning up a community park, or other social actions.

These sometimes simple, retrospective, detailed, and even heartwarming stories, allow students to be eligible to win prizes for their good deeds and for the popularity of their entries. A few stories, in part, said:

“In my life, I have many things. I am very fortunate. My community is not so lucky. Sometimes I cannot help but feel guilty for the life of privilege that I have, the one that I was just simply born into.” By: George, University of Cincinnati-Cincinnati

“During my free time I love to volunteer and help people with children that have been affected by Cancer. Cancer is something that any person can be affected by and it’s sad when it affects innocent young children.” By: Amanda, San Bernardino Valley College

“On August 4, 2012 I volunteered with KaBOOM! to build a playground in a day at the Miller Avenue United Church of Christ in Akron, Ohio. I thought this volunteer event was such a unique opportunity; I was astounded that a playground could actually be built in one day.” By: Brittany, The University of Akron-Main

“Last year a couple of my friends and I helped out at our local retirement home (Presbyterian Manor). We got to do some of the residents nails every Tuesday and Thursdays and the ladies there loved it!” By: Nicole, Sterling College-Sterling

The gist of the day is to honor students, and for them to submit text, photos, drawings, or video about themselves as a volunteer. The deadline for submitting a story is 5 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 4.  Student volunteers are advised to let family and friends know to vote for their entries through social media to get the most votes.  The three most popular, plus seven selected at random examples of student volunteerism, will win prizes including scholarships and iPads.

Stores can keep it simple and just hand out branded wristbands, or put up posters about National Student Day. Or they can host games & contests, organize a concert, give out free food, put together exhibits, and work on community service projects.
